As you can tell, it has been sometime since my last post. Since then, my workout routines and creative dishes have come to a halt. Since these are just excuses, I know that I have to make a change. If I don’t find some motivation soon, my active lifestyle will continue to go down the tubes.
A few things have happened since my last update. Mentally, it has been hard to get back on track. I was laid off from my job, and my dad had a heart attack. With these unfortunate situations, I let it get the best of me. I started eating terribly and avoiding anything active.
However, I want to make a change. Today, I created a new challenge for myself. It is going to be for the next 12-weeks. I start tomorrow.
Besides putting together a plan, I have to get my diet back on track. This means that I need to start calculating my calories. Even though I absolutely hate continuously logging things in, I am making a commitment to me. As for my diet over the next 12-weeks, I am not going to starve myself or deprive myself of the holidays.
If I even tried, I would just make myself miserable. That is not what the next 12 weeks will be about. It is about me getting active and taking care of my health.
I started with www.1percentedge.com/ifcalc/ to calculate my calories. I also came across eatthismuch.com, which seems like a cool site. You can set the amount of calories for the day, and it spits back out a meal plan. You can even adjust it to vegan and vegetarian diets. Super cool!
I’m also going to be actively in some fitness subreddits. I really love reddit. If any of my readers have something motivational to share or cool links, let me know in the comments below.
