For the past few days, I have been battling a cold. This left me with some time to think about why I chose a fit lifestyle and what my goals are. Often times, people set short-term goals in their exercise plan. I am here to tell you that there is a better way.
I want to lose 20lbs over the next few weeks.
I want to regain my health for the rest of my life.
I want to bench press 300lbs.
I never miss a workout.
I am going to sacrifice everything to get the fastest time next month in the race.
Next year, I am going to be faster than you are today. In two years, I will be even faster than you will be next year.
Get the point?
Set aside the short-term goals and turn them into lifetime results. If you make a commitment for the long-term, the results will come. In addition, ignore those who mock people for being obsessed with the gym and being healthy. It is okay to care about your health. It is okay to care about feeling good.
