I just got home from The Barre Studio in Delray Beach, Fla. Today, I took my fourth class at this location. The first two classes were about a year ago in a TRX bootcamp class. The other classes were this month in a TRX Tabata class.
Last year, I was barely able to make it through the entire class without feeling faint. This year, I can make it through the classes, but they are kicking my butt. During the week, I weight train with minimum cardio. The only reason that happens is that I run out of time.
These classes allow me to step up my game too. It is a class with about 12 females (including myself). I am not going to explain the entire class, but here is how it begins:
As a group, we jog around the block one time and return to the studio. Four women go on the TRX straps. The other four women go outside, while the remaining goes to the ballet barre.

Once we finish our sets, we then switch places. As soon as we completed the TRX, outside and barre, that is one complete round.
The Class
Each week, it seems to be a different instructor. Each instructor does start the warm up jog around the block, but the workout varies in order. Overall, I like the class. The women who are in there seem to have been doing it for a while. They have become clique.
I just ignore their chat about collagen injections and everything else. I just focus on the workout and getting through it.
Nutrition
A year ago, my performance was drastically different. I was mostly eating Boca burgers and fried foods. Now, I have switched to more of a whole foods diet, and it has made a HUGE difference in my performance. When I am in a rush, I still eat the Boca burgers.
Overall, today’s performance was good. I kicked butt and made it through the entire class. A few times, I slowed down but I still got through it. I chatted with one lady in the class who has been doing it for about six weeks.
She told me that I have incredible strength. She also said that this being my second class, I was doing well. I told her, “Thanks. I try really hard and eat my vegetables.”
